Caliban's War - James S.A. Corey In part, Leviathan Wakes works because it uses ingredients I already love to make a hell of an entertaining dish. While the dark chocolate goodness is still present in Caliban's War (welding, anyone?), the authors have also thrown in a few things I hate.

I am so tired of strong women literally kicking ass. I think politics is the worst thing mankind has ever invented. When I heard that the two new female POV characters were a marine and a politician, I wouldn't describe my reaction as excited.
