It's kind of tempting to call this out for not being novel in any way. Or that if you've read this kind of story before, then you'll see all the twists coming and have it all figured out. I mean, wow, even the title is a dead giveaway.
That'd be like scoffing at [b:Never Let Me Go|6334|Never Let Me Go|Kazuo Ishiguro|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1353048590s/6334.jpg|1499998] for just being another story about cloning. A total failure to appreciate something for being, if not 100% new, superbly executed. And a failure to appreciate that well worn tropes to me are still novel to the intended audience.
This will spin my niece's head around.
I hope she likes it.
