Review: Karen Memory

This is the most satisfying steampunk novel I've read in quite some time. Possibly ever.

The titular heroine has a distinctive voice well suited to the adventure tale she aims to tell. One I found myself slipping into on occasion while reading. I am not giving this 5 stars only because I wasn't done with that voice yet. I wanted another 50 pages!

Much has been said about the diversity of the cast and the absence of male gaze. Read it for that, or read it for the fun adventure full of interesting characters, or both. It's both. It's great. There is a steam powered sewing machine that is basically a Mech, a deaf cat, and a mind control machine. Why are you even still reading this review? Just go get this book right now.
