Bloodshot - Cherie Priest

Right after I posted that update complaining about this, it got better again. And then the pace picked up and it was really fun.

And then the pace didn't know what to do when the mystery was solved but the action wasn't, so it just kept up it's breakneck speed, even though that meant skipping over all the plotting stuff I like.

I just don't know.

There's some stuff I really dug about this book, and some stuff I found really frustrating. I'm still going to go with slightly more than three stars because it avoided most of the crap I don't like in UF. And I dug the not-quite-romance bit.
